Student Resource Center (SRC)

Welcome to Lincoln Law School’s Academic Support Hub. Our Student Resource Center (SRC) is dedicated to boosting academic success through tailored workshops, skills seminars, and tutoring sessions. Focused on crucial aspects like brief writing, test-taking strategies, and time management, the SRC ensures individualized attention. Explore our extensive online legal databases, print materials, and resources, including access to Westlaw for research. Students benefit from monthly workshops, computer facilities, and study spaces. Engage in unique programs like the Friday Review Program and Judge Mentorship for personalized academic support.

In addition, the SRC offers a proactive, structured support system to keep students on track academically. We closely monitor midterm and final exam performance, and students performing below a “C” grade are invited into Small Groups, which are targeted academic support sessions held on Zoom.

Each identified student is also invited to meet one-on-one with the Director of Student Services for a check-in to discuss academic progress and together they can build a customized plan and study schedule to support success.

Library

Lincoln Law School provides online access to legal databases, print, and other services for the use of students, alumni, and faculty. Access to the Library is limited to our current students, faculty, staff, and alumni. The SRC staff is available to assist all users.

The school provides students access to Westlaw for computer-assisted legal research, giving students hands-on experience in state-of-the-art research methods. To access library resources, students should contact the SRC or visit us on campus.

Computer Access

Students and alumni are provided access to desktop computers in the SRC. Each desktop computer is equipped with access to a printer/copier and library databases, including Westlaw. The school also provides free WiFi access to all students while at the school.

Study Space

The SRC provides ample study space for individuals and small groups. During examination periods, the SRC hours are extended to provide additional study time.

Workshops

The SRC Director provides a monthly calendar of workshops and activities, which are located in the student portal, Populi. Workshops and small groups may include black letter law review, exam preparation and review, and much more!

Programs

Friday Review Program

The Friday Review Program is offered on select Friday nights. The program consists of Review Coordinators with outstanding academic success offering their experiences and skills through review sessions to fellow law school students. The review sessions are offered for first-, second-, and third-year courses to provide personalized attention and additional academic support.

Judge Mentorship Program

Established by Justice Laurie Earl (Lincoln Class of 1988), fourth-year students are paired with a Sacramento County Superior Court judge mentor. The program provides an opportunity for Lincoln students to gain knowledge of the courts, career advice, information regarding court matters, job opportunities, and other issues relevant to the practice of law.
